2. 🏭 Treatment: Cleaned to meet strict standards.

3. 🚰 Distribution: Delivered through a reliable system.

Lead and Copper

In 1991, the EPA introduced the Lead and Copper Rule (LCR) to reduce lead and copper in drinking water. The 2021 revisions aim to protect children and communities from lead exposure further. Public Water Systems must prepare and submit a service line inventory by October 16, 2024. Read more.

Cross connection and backflow program

The city has released its new Cross Connection and Control Plan. Read or download the updated plan here.

As part of our ongoing efforts to confirm pipe material in service lines, we conducted additional inventories but if you received a letter to confirm your service line material, follow this link.

There's never enough water to waste.  That's why we have a team of efficiency staff to help answer questions and provide rebates and other services to keep help keep water use as efficient as possible.

Urban Water Management Plan and Water Shortage Contingency Plan

We updated the Urban Water Management Plan (UWMP) and Water Shortage Contingency Plan (WSCP), which are essential long-term planning documents. These are updated at least every five years in accordance with the Urban Water Management Planning Act and chart the course towards ensuring a reliable water future for our community.

Download the UWMP

Water Management Plan

Similar to other water planning documents, the Water Management Plan (WMP) was developed to meet requirements of our water service contract with the US Bureau of Reclamation. The plan cross references requirements contained in the UWMP.

Download the WMP

The City of Roseville requires annual testing of backflow prevention devices installed on water service lines for commercial/domestic use, irrigation and fire sprinklers to eliminate actual or potential cross connections into the public water supply.

MORE

Your Roseville Utilities works to ensure high-quality water. One way we do that is to flush the water lines as part of our routine operations and maintenance.

MORE

Like many utilities throughout the United States, we are modernizing our metering system. This metering upgrade includes advanced meters, which wirelessly send readings and important service information to both our water and electric utilities.
