Summer Reading Challenge 2026
June 1 - August 1, 2026
READ. IMAGINE. EXPLORE. is Roseville Public Library's annual Summer Reading Challenge for all ages. This program is designed to spark a love of reading, offer engaging and enriching summer activities, and inspire lifelong learners and library enthusiasts. Our goal is to boost participation across all age groups—children, teens, and adults—while encouraging regular library visits and making reading a fun part of everyone’s summer.
Research shows that children can lose up to two months of reading progress over the summer break—a setback that adds up year after year. To help prevent this learning loss, we're excited to offer our Summer Reading Program! Designed for youth from birth through age 17, our programs support early literacy and independent reading skills, all while celebrating the joy of reading for fun. We also invite adults to join in by participating in the reading challenge and setting a powerful example. Together, families can build a lifelong love of reading—one book at a time.
Summer Reading Challenge is sponsored by Friends of the Roseville Public Library.
