Downtown Holiday Celebration

The annual Gingerbread House Contest is back! Gingerbread houses will be displayed in the lobby of 316 Vernon Street from December 2–11. The community will vote for its favorites, and the top winner in each category will receive a prize! Winners will be announced on our website.

You don't have to come to downtown to see the Gingerbread Houses in person to vote this year. We must warn you though...while a picture may say a thousand words, they can't completely capture the beauty of this year's gingerbread houses.

It's the most wonderful time of year! The City's Christmas tree is officially lit tonight on the Square. Experience an old fashion celebration and holiday cheer with decorating cookies, visiting Santa, kids activity zone, music, food and celebration. The weather is even forecasted for some snow!

Vendor opportunities:

Craft Vendors: Priority given to handmade items and holiday items. All items are screened and selected based on quality and fit for the event. 

Food Vendors: The event features food trucks provided by Sacto MoFo. The application is for specialty food and treats.
