Roseville operates three pools: Roseville Aquatics Complex, Johnson Pool and Mike Shellito Indoor Pool. Each year around 450,000 people come out to enjoy the water and stay cool at the pools. Each pool has its unique features and houses many programs throughout the year.
Recreational Swim

The Mike Shellito Indoor Pool is currently open for Recreational Swim at the following times:
Saturday - Sunday: 1:00pm - 4:00pm
*Beginning the week of June 8, 2026 additional Recreational Swim on Wednesdays, Thursdays and Fridays from 1:30pm - 3:30pm.
Warming Pool and Lap Pool open for play. Inflatable obstacle course is set up during Recreational Swims. Spray Ground is open during summer months.
Recreational Swim General Admission: $8.00 per person OR included for members/summer swim pass holders. Children under age two (2) are free with adult admission.
Currently open for Parent & Tot Playtime at the following times (all children ages 6 and under welcome):
Tuesday and Thursday: 10:00am - 11:20am
Sunday: 11:30am - 12:45pm
Parent & Tot Admission: $5.00 per adult/child pair. $3.00 for additional swimmers 6 and under or 18+.

Swim Lessons
Your children from 6 months old to 14 years old can focus on safety, swimming skills, and fun. These swim lessons are inclusive, however we have adaptive swim lessons for children with special needs that provide specialized one on one instruction. Adult lessons and private lessons are also available. All swim instructors are certified in lifeguard training, CPR, AED and First Aid.

Course Description:
Private Lessons are for participants 4 years old and up. Private Lessons are one on one instruction between a participant and swim instructor. These lessons are not only for beginners, but are great for experienced swimmers as well. All the private swim lessons are taught by certified Roseville swim instructors
Course Description:
Specially designed for children with mental, physical, or developmental disabilities. Skills are learned step-by-step so that each student can move from one level to another, comfortably. Safety and confidence in the water are the primary goals. Stroke techniques and more difficult skills follow.
The City of Roseville has partnered with Infant Swimming Resource (ISR) Roseville to bring the world's leading survival swim program to its community swim offerings. ISR teaches Self-Rescue® skills empowering children ages 6 months to 6 years to float, breathe, swim and survive if they ever reach the water alone
Other Programs
Persons under the age of 13 years, must be accompanied by a person 18 years or older. The person that is 18 years or older must have an active fitness membership with the City of Roseville, paid admission, or hold a Summer Swim Pass.

Does your Tiny Tot love to splash around? Spend some quality time playing at our aquatic facilities. Parent & Tot takes place year-round at the Mike Shellito Indoor Pool and during the summer at the Roseville Aquatics Complex and Johnson Pool. Parents must accompany their children inside the pools and spray ground. All children 6 and under are welcome.
The Mike Shellito Indoor Pool offers Parent & Tot Playtime at the following times:
Tuesday and Thursday: 10:00am-11:20am
Sunday: 11:30am-12:45pm
Parent & Tot Admission: $5.00 per adult/child pair. $3.00 for additional swimmers 6 and under or 18+.
The Roseville Aquatics Complex will offer Parent and Tot Playtime at the following times beginning June 8, 2026:
Monday through Thursday: 10:00am - 12:30pm
Parent & Tot Admission: $5.00 per adult/child pair. $3.00 for additional swimmers 6 and under or 18+. Access to spray ground only during these times.
Johnson Pool will offer Parent and Tot Playtime at the following times beginning May 23, 2026:
Saturday: 11:30am - 12:45pm
Parent & Tot Admission: FREE
The Lifeguard Training course includes all the certifications needed to be a pool lifeguard in the State of California. After successful completion of this course, participants are issued American Red Cross certifications in Lifeguarding/First Aid/CPR/AED for the Professional Rescuer, Oxygen Administration, Bloodborne Pathogens Training and First Aid for Public Safety Personnel (Title 22).
Lap swim and water fitness is designed for those ages 13 and up. Swimmers of all levels welcome.
Requirements:
- Ages 5-8 must be able to swim 25 yards of Freestyle unassisted
- Ages 9-14 must be able to swim 50 yards of Freestyle unassisted
What to expect:
This program is intended to give swimmers an introduction to competitive swimming. It will provide instruction on proper stroke mechanics, starts, turns, and conditioning. The summer program at the Roseville Aquatics Complex will also provide an introduction to water polo. Swimmers are evaluated on the first day.
