Looking to volunteer at a vibrant, community-centric museum? We’re the place! We have a number of different volunteer opportunities to fit your schedule, interests and talents.
Please note: All volunteers working on-site for the City of Roseville are required to complete a no-cost Live Scan fingerprint scan as part of the application process. A valid government-issued photo ID is required to complete the Live Scan process.
Event & Programs Volunteers - on call
We occasionally need volunteers to support our special events and programs throughout the year. Opportunities may include assisting with artist receptions and our Museum on the Move program, serving as a station docents, working MMHS informational booths at community events, and helping with an array of classes, camps and special events. Volunteer sign-up schedules are shared seasonally, making it easy to participate when your schedule allows.
Graphic Design Volunteer - seasonal
Design flyers, postcards, banners, signage and other materials that align with the museum's branding and ADA accessibility standards. Experience preparing print-ready digital files is required.Restoration Crew - as needed
Help maintain and restore the Maidu Museum's 34-acre historic site through grounds maintenance and habitat restoration. This hands-on volunteer opportunity is perfect for those who enjoy working outdoors, have an interest in local ecology, and are available Thursday mornings.
