Free doorstep pickup for household hazardous waste.
The City of Roseville makes it easy to safely get rid of common hazardous items from your home. This service is for residential use only. Items from businesses or contractors will not be collected.
What we can take:
- Batteries (tape the ends before pickup)
- Fluorescent tubes (4 feet or smaller, up to 10), bulbs, and mercury lamps
- Mercury thermostats and thermometers
- Electronics like TVs, computers, monitors, and printers
- DVD players, VCRs, stereos, cell phones, and radios
- Cooking fats, oils, and grease (sealed and labeled)
- Motor oil and filters (sealed and labeled)
- Paint (up to 5 gallons per appointment)
- Automotive fluids (sealed, in original container)
- Chemicals, cleaners, and solvents (sealed, in original container)
Before your appointment:
- Minimum: 20 pounds or 5 different item types
- Maximum: 15 gallons or 125 pounds per pickup
- Place items outside in an easy-to-reach spot
- Staff cannot enter homes, go behind gates, or go upstairs
- Only items listed in your appointment will be collected
- No glass containers
- Batteries must be intact, not leaking, and taped
- Items over limits may be left for safety reasons
Appointments are required. Items left out without one will not be collected.
