Multi Hazard Mitigation Plan

PW_HazardRisk_2022_FB - Copy

The City of Roseville works closely with local leaders and the community to identify risks and update its Multi-Hazard Mitigation Plan. This plan helps reduce the impact of natural and human-caused hazards and strengthens community resilience.

Maintaining an approved plan also allows the City to qualify for federal pre- and post-disaster funding and meets the requirements of the Disaster Mitigation Act of 2000. Since the original plan was adopted in July 2005, Roseville has successfully secured funding for projects that reduce risk and improve safety across the community.

The most recent update to the Hazard Mitigation Plan was adopted by the Roseville City Council on November 15, 2023.

A second public meeting was held to share information about our community's hazard maps and risk assessments. The public had an opportunity to ask questions and provide input, which will help shape Roseville's updated Multi-Hazard Mitigation Plan.

A virtual meeting was held on Thursday, March 16, 2023 for the public to learn about potential risks in our area, steps the City is taking, and what you can do to be more prepared and educated. There was also an opportunity to share input and ask questions.

This steering committee meets periodically to update the Multi-Hazard Mitigation Plan for the City of Roseville. This plan details the risks of both natural and manmade hazards in Roseville and includes programs and projects to help reduce the exposure of city residents and businesses should an event occur.

The Steering Committee meetings are open to the public and held at City of Roseville Civic Center, 311 Vernon Street, Meeting Rooms 1 & 2 (to the right of the lobby/rotunda).

Please contact Public Works by email or call (916) 746-1300 if you would like to participate virtually.
