The Fair Political Practices Commission (FPPC) requires certain local public officials and employees to disclose their personal financial holdings to help ensure officials and employees do not make or influence decisions that could materially affect their personal financial interests. Under the Act, there are two categories of individuals who must file Statements of Economic Interests (Form 700):
