Roadway stabilization work to begin on Cirby Way week of October 19
Oct 12, 2026
The work will take place in two phases:
- Phase 1: Roadway stabilization (October–November 2026). Crews will strengthen the ground beneath the roadway before repairing the water pipeline. This work is expected to take about a month. No planned water service interruptions are expected during this phase.
- Phase 2: Water pipeline repair (spring 2027). Crews will repair the underground water pipeline. This work will require additional lane closures and may involve temporary water service interruptions. Affected customers will receive advance notice.
What drivers can expect
During the first phase, crews are scheduled to work Monday through Friday, from 6 a.m. to 3 p.m., with traffic setup beginning as early as 5 a.m. Two lanes in each direction are expected to remain open, although lanes will be narrowed and shifted as work progresses. Drivers should plan for slower traffic, changing traffic patterns and construction noise.
“We're taking care of this infrastructure now to help prevent bigger problems down the road,” said Sean Bigley, Environmental Utilities Director. “We know construction can be inconvenient, and we're working to keep traffic moving and minimize disruptions as much as possible. This is part of how we take care of what takes care of us.”
The City will continue sharing updates as work progresses, including any significant changes to traffic or construction schedules. Learn more and get the latest updates at roseville.ca.gov/Cirby.
