The six-member board makes recommendations on library issues such as library hours and policies, priorities for capital purchases, sites for new branch libraries, complaints about library materials, etc. Board members act as informal liaisons with the community to promote the library system and to bring community concerns to the City Librarian.
The Library Board meets the fourth Monday of every odd numbered month at 6:00 p.m. in the City Council Chambers.
